HRS, The Hotel Portal, has launched a free widget that allows hotels to embed the company’s booking engine into their own websites.

HRS, The Hotel Portal, has launched a free widget that allows hotels to embed the company’s booking engine into their own websites. Hoteliers pay a reduced commission of 3% on bookings made though the widget, and can customise it to show reviews and ratings made on HRS.

The widget has two components – providing customers with a direct and easy means to book and presenting reviews made on HRS. Hoteliers can use the widget to highlight areas where they receive strong customer feedback on e.g. cleanliness, hotel facilities. As travellers increasingly search the internet for independent reviews before deciding to choosing their hotels, hoteliers can capitalise on this demand by showing the independent reviews from HRS customers.

Any hotel that does not currently offer online booking can embed the widget to integrate with HRS’s booking system. Users simply input their required details and they will be shown available rooms and conditions.

The widget is easily integrated into websites and can be adapted to the hotel website’s layout and colour scheme. The widgets can be created in just a few steps in the Hotel Service Portal on

With both these innovative modules, we want to give our hotel partners the opportunity to benefit as much as possible from this development and to design their websites with even more appeal. Using these two widgets, hotels linked to HRS can quickly and easily offer their guests two additional services and thus increase their occupancy”, says Tobias Ragge, CEO of HRS.

“By integrating the booking machine, we are finally also bookable on our own website. The offer has been very well received by visitors to our website and we can already record more bookings. The evaluation widget also provides useful information about our hotel from guests who recommend us”, says Ernst Jungreithmeier from the Hotel Casa Heinrich.
