Tame airline of Ecuador will make its first commercial flight to Panama on December 1 and Condor of Germany has planned mid November to fly to Tocumen International Airport.

Tame will have a frequency of six flights a week, except Saturday and will cover two routes a week: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from Quito to Panama, while on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays it will fly from Guayaquil to Panama.

Condor is only waiting for the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to give the nod to start flying to Panama. The company will make a direct flight to Panama from the German city of Frankfurt with a 45-minute stopover in the Dominican Republic.

Besides these two airlines in 2011 the arrival is expected of other companies, including Qantas of Australia, which will give a four days package in Havana, Cuba, and then fly to Panama where passengers will have another four days before returning to their country.

In November, the first move is expected from airlines of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) that are interested in making flights to Panama.

Rafael Barcenas, director of the CAA has indicated that during the forum to be held by the Latin American Air Transport Association, they will sign a bilateral agreement with the UAE, allowing companies like Emirates Airlines and Flydubai to set frequencies including Panama.

Next year the arrival is also expected of the Japanese airline All Nippon Airways (ANA), which is awaiting the results of the technical performance of the new Boeing Dreamliner to negotiate with Panama a direct flight between the two countries.
