MUMBAI, India – Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, has enhanced its connectivity with the United Arab Emirates, through the introduction of a 4th daily service between the two financial hubs of Mumbai and Dubai. This is the fourth daily frequency being introduced between the two cities and is expected to provide guests with the convenience of an additional noon service. The new service will complement the three flights already being operated by Jet Airways on the high demand Mumbai-Dubai route and the airline plans to commence operations effective May 18th, 2012.

Flight 9W 536 will leave Mumbai at 1230 hrs and arrive Dubai at 14.05 hrs. On the return leg, 9W 535 will depart Dubai at 1620 hrs and arrive Mumbai at 2055 hrs providing onward connections to other destinations on the airline’s network.

With four flights to operate between Mumbai & Dubai, business and leisure customers of Jet Airways now have a wide choice of timings throughout the day. The flights are conveniently timed to connect with Jet Airways’ industry-leading domestic network and fast-growing network to SAARC/ASEAN points. The airline also operates daily direct flights to the Emirate of Dubai from Chennai, Delhi and Hyderabad, which makes the additional flight from Mumbai to Dubai the seventh daily direct service on this sector.

Sudheer Raghavan, Chief Commercial Officer, Jet Airways said “Jet Airways has already established itself as a prestigious brand in the intensely competitive Indo-Gulf sector in a relatively short period of time, on accord of the warmth of its service and quality of its in-flight product. We are happy to introduce this fourth day time frequency to Dubai and are confident that this additional service will prove immensely popular with our guests as it provides a wide connectivity throughout the day. The new flight would also help in connecting our guests flying in from Tier II and III cities following an increased demand due to the flow of tourist and business traffic to and from Dubai.”

The introduction of this new additional daily service from Mumbai to Dubai will further strengthen Jet Airways’ presence in the Gulf, where it has emerged as one of the leading carriers on the Indo-Gulf sector.

Jet Airways’ Gulf network would now operate 44 daily flights between India and the Middle Eastern region. The additional services from Mumbai will now complement the airline’s existing daily Gulf operations to Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai, Doha, Kuwait, Muscat and Sharjah, as well as Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam from several cities in India.

The airline will deploy its state-of-the-art new generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft, offering Premiere and Economy configurations. Guests will be offered the airlines best-in-its-class in-flight product, which boasts of warm service, award winning entertainment, as well as delectable cuisine.
